About the artist ...
Sven Joerg Hansen is a contemporary artist whose works are characterized by an impressive mixture of emotional depth, symbolic density and pictorial freedom. His works move on the border between abstraction and narrative - they do not show clear scenes, but inner states, memories and existential fragments. Hansen uses an often rough-looking, multi-layered painting style in which color, structure and space are condensed into emotional landscapes.
The central themes of his art are transformation, loss, war, memory, creation and the invisible behind the visible world. Many of his works act like mirrors for the unspoken - they invite us to pause, understand and feel. Particularly characteristic is the way Hansen works with light, texture and emptiness: not as decorative elements, but as an expression of inner processes and the search for meaning.
Hansen does not see art as an image of the world, but as a tool that can make the invisible visible. His pictures emerge from the process - intuitively, but never arbitrarily. It is not about effects, but about honesty. The works often only unfold their effect when viewed over a longer period of time: they draw you in, challenge you and leave room for interpretation.
His works have been presented on the Art.Salon platform, among others, where they have met with increasing interest. Sven Joerg Hansen lives for painting - not as a profession, but as a form of expression of an inner path.
His works can be found with collectors in Germany, Austria,
Switzerland and also in India.
"From abstraction to the reality behind it is the journey that the viewer takes in Sven's pictures. The reality behind the illusion that we call life.
A world behind the visible world, the world of the mind.
The viewer travels back in time, from the abstract to the object, to the soul.
Inspired by Buddhism, Hinduism and Tao, the stories of Sven's work are the immeasurable "spirit landscape" of the collective consciousness, the "soul landscape" of the human being. Inscrutable journeys, indescribable in words or images that can only be told with intense colour and passion."
